Diagnostic EvaluationsFamilyPath uses the ADOS-2 Toddler Module, "a standardized tool that evaluates social interaction, communication and play" (Lord et al., 1989). Diagnostic evaluations are comprised of a discussion with the guardian(s) and a one-on-one examination of the child's skills through play activities for the toddler age group. The assessment takes place in a comfortable office setting with the child's guardian present. Appointments are scheduled at either our Madison East or Brookfield locations.

Before an Assessment...
Talk to your pediatrician about any concerns you have.
Your pediatrician will conduct a developmental screening during each of your well child appointments. If you have specific concerns, don't wait until your next appointment. Reach out to your family's doctor to discuss your concerns.

Call our intake department.
Our Intake Director will gather information about your child and talk with you about the next steps for you and your family. You may be asked to complete the DP-4 screening questionnaire prior to scheduling an evaluation if your child does not already have a diagnosis.
